William Thomas Kiser Sunday, May 31, 1998
Lifetime WANETTE resident William "Billy" Thomas Kiser died Friday at his home. He was 71.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at WANETTE Cemetery with the Rev. Cliff Bettes and the Rev. Kenneth Thompson officiating, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Chapel in Tecumseh.
Kiser was born Nov. 11, 1926, in WANETTE, to Sanford Thomas and Laura Beatrice (Compton) Kiser. He attended school at WANETTE and married Wanda Sturgill on Jan. 24, 1952, in WANETTE.
He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 19 1/2 years before retiring in 1969. He also worked as a plumber's assistant. Kiser was a member of the WANETTE First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Kiser of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jerry Ray Kiser of Albuquerque, N.M., Keith and Pam Kiser of WANETTE; two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Raymond McBroom, Priscilla and Glenn Jones, all of WANETTE; 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Oneida Cornelison and Mamie Lawson; five brothers, Ernest and Ed Ollison, Bradley, Lesley and Hoyt Kiser.
