Luis S. Acosta peacefully passed away July 7, 2007 with his family members by his side. He attended Bowie High School and was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church.
He was Paratrooper in the United States Army 551st Parachute Infantry during World War II. For 37 years he worked with the Coca-Cola Company as a Production Manager in El Paso and Alamogordo, New Mexico. He had a marvelous sense of humor that helped him cope with life's challenges and was a wonderful husband and father to the whole family.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Maria S. Acosta, and Francisco Acosta.
He is survived by his wife Dolores P. Acosta, daughter Margie A. Gaucin, son Br. Stephen De La Rosa O.H., son-in-law George H. Gaucin Jr. his two grandchildren George Humberto Gaucin III and Stephen Luis Gaucin and several nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Guardian Angel Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 12,2007 at Guardian Angel Catholic Church followed by interment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Stephen L. Gaucin, George H. Gaucin III, Polin (Pascual) Ramos, Ernesto Acosta, Salvador Perez, Rick Ramos, Roberto Jurado and Juan Jurado.
