F.C Dawson, 88, Dies of Short Illness

Frank C. Dawson, 88, 361 Sixth Ave. N., died at his home Sunday night of a short illness.

Mr. Dawson was born on July 24, 1877 (NOTE: Virtually all other sources, including 1880 Census, indicate 1879) in Spencer County, Ind. He moved to Twin Falls in 1911 where he operated a variety store until his retirement. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Temple Dawson in 1941. He married Emma G. Jones in 1944 in Twin Falls.

Surviving, besides his widow, are two sons, Millard A. Dawson and Robert C. Dawson, both Sunnyvale, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Lumm, Tacoma, Wash.; and two stepsons, Paul Jones, Yakima, Wash., and Winston I. Jones, Easton, Pa.

Funeral services are pending.

TWIN FALLS -- Graveside services for Frank C. Dawson will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Twin Falls Cemetery with Rev. Robert Harvey officiating. The cortege will leave White Mortuary Chapel at 12:45 p.m.
