Annie S.Childs was the widow of Thomas J. Childs.She passed away at 4 AM at the home of her son Thomas G. Childs in the mill village in Pickens.She was the daughter of Seth Poole and was the Granddaughter of a Revolutionary War Patriot.She Married T.J. Childs Dec.3, 1848 and and from that Union there was born sixteen children.At the time of her death her living grandchildren numbered 116 ,her great grandchildren numbered 98 making a total of 226 direct decendants.She was a devout Christian and a faithful member of her church
