In 1972 he married Jerie Deatherage and acquired 2 step-children. Don and Jerie were very active in the Model "A" Club and Ye Old Car Club. They also enjoyed traveling the world during their 30 years of marriage. He worked for Roto-Rooter for several years and retired from City of Kennewick waste water department.

After Jerie's death in 2002 he married Martha Shelton in 2003 and acquired 2 more step-children. Don and Martha enjoyed singing in the First Christian Church of Kennewick choir, their love of flowers, and listening to big band music.

He spent the finial months of his life at Kennewick Life Care Center. We, as a family, are so thankful for the loving care he received there.
