Raymond S. Adam, 87, of Kutztown, died suddenly February 13, 2013 in Ephrata Community Hospital, Ephrata.
He was the husband of (LIVING) Adam, whom he married June 12, 1954.
Born in Richmond Township, he was a son of the late James A., and Maggie E. (Adam) Adam.
He was a member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Kutztown, since baptism.
For many years, Raymond worked as a carpenter for several local contractors. He learned this skill from his father and uncle. He retired in 1987 from the Maintenance Department at Kutztown University after 17 years.
He is best known for his love of motorcycle riding and his 1939 Harley Davidson that he rode back and forth to work and around the area. He also had many carpentry creations and was always willing to help fix someone's broken spouting or sticking door.
Raymond liked to attend the Reading Motorcycle Club's Old Timer's meet. He was a member of the Fleetwood Senior Citizens Group.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, his four daughters and their families sister, and brother.
There are also ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by five sisters and four brothers.
Interment will be in Zion Moselem Church Cemetery, Kutztown.
