Ronald Olaf Patrick Amundsen, 70, of 918 Truro Lane, Crofton, Md., died Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Futurecare, in Arnold, Md.
Born Feb. 10, 1941, in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was the son of the late Albert and Harriet (Pa) Amundsen.
A 1958 graduate of McKinley High School, he was employed by Volkswagen of America, Lanham, Md., for more than 20 years and later for Super Shuttle and Crofton Coach and Courier.
Ronald enjoyed archery, swimming, surfing, chess, family vacations, photography, framing, and Hawaiian delicacies.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, the former Carol Ann Berger; one daughter: Michelle, wife of Mark Sholund, of Reisterstown, Md.; two sons: Eric and Lee Amundsen; four sisters: Yvette Leviston of Tampa, Fla.; Alberta Poina of Westminster, Calif.; and Geri Bolosan and Norma Alfonso, both of Honolulu.
A visitation will be held Thursday, June 16, 2011, from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at noon at the Mayo Funeral Home Inc., 110 Chestnut St., Berwick, with the Rev. John R. Koons, pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Berwick, officiating. Interment will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.
