OBITUARY - Lesssie Brake, 91, Kensington,MD., a former resident of Ritchie County, WV.,died Saturday morning at the Circle Manor Nursing Home in Kensington,MD. She was born in Ritchie County, the daughter of the late Rev. Albert Law Ireland and Minnie McNeill Ireland. She was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist church in Kinbsington, and a former member of St. Luke United Methodist church in Harrisville, WV. She is survivied by two sons, Albert "Mac" Brake of Summersville, WV. and Phillip I Brake, of Damascus, MD.; three daughters, Mrs. Susan Sels of Massillon, Ohio, Mary Catherine Brake of Kensington, and Mrs. Phylis A. Edwards of Phoenix, Ariz; two brothers, Moore Ireland of Grafton, Wv.,and George Ireland of Barberton, Ohio.; four sisters; Dulcie Hall of Parkersburg, Wv., Marie Brosius, of Sutton, Wv., Beulah Robey and Mabel Hatfield, both of Akron, Ohio. 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur, one son, Wilbur Jr.; and one sister and two brothers. Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Lukes United Methodist Church in Harrisville, WV. with the Rev. Hugh C.Boone officiating. Burial will be in the Harrisville IOOF Cemetery.
