Mrs. John Bartsche
Mrs. John Bartsche, one of the old settlers and one of the highly esteemed residents of this county, died last Saturday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Aldrich in Hazel Green township.
The deceased was born in Germany on May 18, 1842. She removed to this country with her parents and located in Ohio where she was united in marriage with John Bartsche in 1866. In 1877 they came west and settled in this county resided near Delhi until 1889 when they removed to the Bay settlement where they have made their home since that time.
Mrs. Bartsche had been in declining health for several years, and though a constant sufferer she bore it all with cheerfulness and patience. She leaves a large circle of friends to mourn her death. She is survived by her husband and two children, Mrs. John Aldrich and Fred Bartsche of Hazel Green township.
The funeral services were held Monday May 14th at the Bay church, Rev. Culver of Ryan officiating. Interment was made in Bay cemetery.
