Mr. Buger was a WWI veteran and had served on the school board and tax equilazation board in Waka, TX. He was a lifetime member of the Church of the Brethren, a charter member of the American Legion in Thomas, OK, and member of the Knife and Fork Club in Pampa, Persimmon Hill and the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City. He had a great interest in music and tape recording. He was also a good magician and enjoyed putting on shows for his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys; a son, Dean H. Burger of Pampa, a sister, Irene Mayo of Sequin, TX; two grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family requests memorials be to Pampa Meals on Wheels, Groom Ambulance Service or a favorite charity.
