Mrs. Mae H. Baird,
Mrs. Mae H Baird, 87, Dunkirk, route 2, former resident of Randolph County, died Thursday night at the Jay County hospital, Portland. She had been in failing health for some time.
Mrs. Baird was born in Randolph County, the daughter of Isom and Ann R Harris. Before leaving Winchester for Indianapolis in 1943, Mrs. Baird had been an employee of the Boston Store for 10 years. She remained at Indianapolis until 1062 when she moved to Dunkirk. She was a member of the Olive Branch Congregational Christian church in Randolph County.
Survivors include three sons. Herschel Baird of Dunkirk, rout 2, Delbert Baird of Farmland, route 1, and Farrel Baird of Knoxville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Her husband, John Baird died in 1917.
Services will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Maynard and Walker funeral home, Winchester, with the Rev. Wilmer Beeson of Hagerstown officiating. Burial will be in the White River cemetery east of Winchester.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and after 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the services on Sunday.
