Abe and Lois built their home on Montrose Drive in East Point in 1938 and resided there almost 50 years. Abe saw service in the U S Army in World War II. After military service he worked with the H. G. Hastings Co. until his retirement. They were members of the First Baptist Church of East Point. Lois was a sister of "Putt" Wyatt, a well known "figure" around East Point. Abe and Lois had no children. They were wonderful friends.

In the 1940 Census Garnett was a clerk for Associated Seed Growers Inc. Lois was a secretary for Southern Saw Works, East Point.
