Kenneth Ashton
Kenneth O. Ashton, 85, of Onaway, died Wednesday, October 30, 1991, at Roger City Hospital. Mr. Ashton was born April 15,1906, in Boyne City. He was a resident of Onaway most of his life where he was a member of the United Methodist Church. He worked as a prison guard for the State of Michigan. On April 25, 1986, he was married to Arletta Lutze.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Dorothy Ashton and Flossie Faircloth Ashton and three sons, Richard, Darrell and Royce. Survivors include: wife, Arletta Ashton of Onaway sons, Larry Ashton of Saginaw, Reginald Ashton of LasVegas, Nevada, and Don Ashton and Brian Ashton, both of Grayling daughters, Phyllis Anderson of Tucson Arizona, and Lois Bennett of Grayling step-daughters, Eliza Jane Peterman of Onaway, Roxanne Peterman of Roger City, and Janette Riley of Utica sister, Gladys Rummer of Scottville 21 grand children and step-grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
