DEATH OF MRS. ANDREW
The death of Mrs. Katherine Andrew, in Nashville several days ago, is regretted by her friends in Frnaklin county, where she was born and reared. She was a daughter of Col. J.E. Isbell and niece of Mr and Mrs. P.L. O’Reilly.
The following account of her death is copied from a Nashville paper:
“Mrs. Katherine Isbell Andrew, sister of Mrs. W.M. Watkins, Mrs. A.H. Roberts, Jr., and Mrs. J.G. Stephenson, of Nashville, died early this morning at a local hospital after an extended illness. Her remains are at the home of Mrs. Stephenson, 1708 Cedar Lane, where prayer service will be conducted at 5 o’clock this afternoon by the Rev. N. Vander Pyl. Of Collegeside Congregational Church. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Houston, Texas, where Mrs. Andrew resided.
“Mrs. Andrew spent her girlhood in Nashville, going to make her home in Houston after her marriage to Victor B. Andrew. Mr.Andrew died several years ago. She was born at Isbell, Ala., daughter of Col. John E. Isbell and Annie Harris Isbell. At Houston she operated a large printing and publishing plant, and was owner and publisher of the Houston Labor Journal.
“Mrs. Andrew is survived by her son, Victor B. Andrew, who came here with his mother; her father, Col. John E. Isbell, of Amqui, Tenn., and, besides her sister, by her brothers, W.H. Isbell, New York City Col. John G. Isbell, Guayaquil, Ecuador; Capt. H. Wyatt Isbell, Reno, Nev.; Albert E. Isbell, Bruceton, Tenn., and Louis Isbell, Detroit, Mich.
“Pallbearers at Nashville will be Mrs. Andrew’s nephew, Edward and Jack Lee, Richard Takins, John Ellis Isbell II, and Charles and Thomas Murphy.(“)
