Marceline Germain died of diabetes at Newberry Hospital, July 13 1929. She was layed out at the Ryan Undertaker Parlors. Later the body was taken to the home of Mrs. Germain's grandson, Fred Germain, on Fourth street.

Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church and burial at Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Germain is survived by husband Thomas Germain, sons, Thomas, Phillip, Louis, predeceased by Fred. Daughters, Mrs. Louis La Faive of Detroit, Mrs. Henry Derusha of the Sault, and Mrs. Israel Hutt of Detroit also survive. She also leaves a large number of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was well known in and near the Sault. For many years she lived on a farm near Donaldson. And the past 25 years was in the Sault. She was a member of St. Mary's church and St. Anne's Society.

Mrs. Germaine had eight children with husband Thomas who she had married at the age of 15.

She was buried in a grave purchased by Louis Germain.
