Mrs Ruth Ella Brown, widow of W N Brown, died at 7:30 Thursday evening at her home on North Kirk Street, West Lafayette, after a seven month illness with complications. She was 69 yrs. She was born July 4, 1870, a daughter of Samuel and Martha Smith. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Arthur Lacey of Newcomerstown and Mrs Emma A Brown of Edgewood, Pa; two sons Hugh C Brown of the home and David E Brown also of West Lafayette; nine grandchildren, two brothers E. J. Smith of Massillon and D. H. Smith of Hookstown, Pa and a sister E. A. Dulin of Hookstown, Pa. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday at the home and burial will be at Fairfield Cemetery of West Lafayette.
