Funeral Services
Funeral services for Mrs. Akers were conducted Tuesday, March 19, at 11 a.m. in Jolley's Funeral Chapel, Rev. Arthur Osborne and Rev. Tom Porter, officiating. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. at the Leonard, Texas cemetery.
Mrs. Akers, who was born April1, 1908, in Lamar County was the daughter of B.M. and Beulah Chiles. She is survived by her husband, Elgin Akers of Fort Worth and her mother Mrs. Beulah Chiles of Clarksville.
Other survivors include sisters Mrs. Coy Garrison of Honey Grove and Mrs. Clyde Rains and Mrs. Bert Johnson, Clarksville; brothers, Jack Chiles and Frank Chiles, Dallas and Ray Chiles, Honey Grove.
