Jackie Glen Ables, 55, died Friday, April 17, 2009, at his residence in Brandon.
Visitation is 2:00-5:00 p.m. today at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 9:00 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2009, in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Greenville, MS.
Mr. Ables was the manager of McDade's Grocery on Fortification in Jackson and a veteran of the U.S. Army, as well as an avid fisherman and Ole Miss fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Ables.
Survivors include wife, Brenda Mann Ables of Brandon; mother, Maxine Ables of Brandon; daughter, Jessica Martin of Kentucky; sons, Jackie G. Ables, II of Indiana, Zac Correro of Tupelo and Erick Greenway of Cleveland; sister, Carolyn McCrary of Brandon; brothers, Larry Ables of Conroe, TX and Terry Ables of Brandon; and grandchildren, Jayden McAlister, Ryleigh Parker McAlister, Katie Ables and Ella Greenway.
