Chandler, 63, of 4220 New York Ave. died Friday at Iowa Methodist Hospital of cancer. Services will be at 1 P.M. at Dunn's Funeral Home on Grand Avenue. Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetary. Mr. Chandler was born in Burlington, and had lived in Des Moines for 39 years.
He had been on the national executive board of the Isaak Walton League here. Mr. Chandler had retired last year as vice-president of Chandler-Metelman, Inc. He attended Coe College and was a member of Capitol Lodge, Temple Commandery, Za Ga Zig Shrine, and Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene; four daughters, Barbara and Sue both of Des Moines, Mrs. Carol Wolam of Huntington, N.Y., and Mrs. Judith Warns of Mineral Wells, TX; a sister, Mrs. Peter Topic of Cedar Rapids, and five granddaughters.
