Harriet Bresee ______Hawaiian entertainer

Harriet Bresee, 67, a native of Hawaii, and an entertainer for 40 years, died on Sunday, Feb. 19, 1989 at her Sonoma residence.
An accomplished pianist and ukelele player, she had entertained in the Wayfarers (now Town Square) and had played for the Kiwais Club as well as for private and civic events.
A resident here since 1962, she was a member of the Women of the Moose and A.F.M., Santa Rosa.
Mrs. Bresee is fondly remembered by her children-Ruth Ogan of Seattle, Wash; Betty Ann Olyvar of Honolulu, Hawaii; Billy Kalipi of Molokai, Hawaii; Tom Handler of Pueblo, Colorado; Ruth Lane of Eureka, Judy Robbins of Sonoma, Gloria Conatser of Clearlake, Charlene Gevas of Sonoma, Mylo Wiles of Fetters Springs, Richard Bresee of Fiddletown and Ronald Bresee of Hayfork.
Twenty-nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive her.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, Feb. 25, in the chapel of Bates, Evans & Fehrensen, 966 Broadway, Sonoma, with Monsignor John O'Hare officiating. Burial will be in Mountain Cemetery at 3 p.m.
Contributions to the Sonoma Valley Hospital Auxiliary, P.O. Box 600, Sonoma, CA 95476 are preferred by family.
