Birth: Oct. 4, 1898
Rusk County
Texas, USA
Death: Mar. 17, 1974
Smith County
Texas, USA

James Claud Bellamy was born in Tatum, Rusk, Texas, USA to Robert Lee Bellamy & Anna Mariah Williams Bellamy.

He met and married Alice Ola (Ola) Pickens, assumably, about 1921, and they had five children this researcher has found, to-date:

- James Claud Bellamy Jr. (1922-?)
- Anna M. Bellamy (1924-?)
- Mertie J. Bellamy (1927-?)
- Martha Jean Bellamy (1928-1958)
- Jacqueline Bellamy (1931-?)

Claud was a Welder, by trade. He and Ola had divorced at the time of his death.

Claud passed away, sadly, on March 17, 1974 in the East Texas Chest Hospital in Tyler, Smith, Texas, USA, of complications from bronchpneumonia with contributory causes being carcinoma of the lung (metastatic), and carcinoma of the right tonsil - afflications he had suffered from for about eight years prior to his death.

Rest In Peace, Claud.
