Born May 1, 1935, she graced our lives until February 7, 2015. Wife to Lewis Oliver Ambrose, mother to Michael, Betty, John, and Angie; Grandmother to Michael, Matthew, Nicole, Adam, and Dalton; Great-grandmother to Abigail and Allison, her legacy will live on.
She was born in Waterville, Maine to Amos and Emily St. Amand, where she grew and blossomed into a lovely young lady. There, she met the love of her life, Lewis. They enjoyed dancing to swing music and together, had the moves!
As a natural progression, Jet and Lewis married. After the birth of their first son, Michael, daughter, Betty, and son, John (just don't ask him to say "fire truck", Jet loved to tell the story) they moved to California. Here, Lewis worked and Jet raised her children and managed the home. Finally, Angie rounded out the family.
They spent many years in North Park, where they had loving relationships with the Bishops, the Marshalls, and Judy Gunner. Later they moved to Spring Valley, where she established additional long-term relationships with Dot Zetko, Kathy Van Buskirk, and the Summers. She worked as a secretary for St. Michael's CCD program for 24 years. She loved working with the clergy, staff, and of course, the children. Her chosen career gave her a great feeling of accomplishment.
Her joy was complete when her children married and had children of their own. Michael married Marie, Betty married Al, John married Trina, and Angie married Paul. Soon, Michael, Matthew, Nicole, Dalton, Adam came along. Recently, Matthew married Laurie and made her joy complete, with the birth of her twin great-granddaughters, Abby and Ally. The family is soon to welcome a new member, Derek, as he and Nicole will marry this year.
