Johnny Franklin Biggs, 55, formerly of Hickory where he operated a service station and cafe, died suddenly Monday at 5:30 a.m. in Corpus Christi, Tex., where he was employed as a chef. Stricken a short time earlier, he had gone to the home of a physician and after ringing the bell, died before the latter could reach the door.
A member of the Hickory Babtist Church, deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bess Sadler Biggs; son Johnny Gilbert Biggs; sister, Mrs. M. C. Tatum, all of Hickory; brother, S. J. Biggs, Atlanta, Ga; and a niece, Miss Sue Tatum, Yazoo City.
The body will arrive in Meridian at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday and will remain at Stephens' until the hour prior to funeral services when it will be carried to the Hickory Babtist Church, time to be announced. Burial will be in the Hickory cemetery.
