SIMON AARDEMA
Funeral services will be held at the Christian Reformed church at Doon at p m Thursday October 23 for Simon Aardema 68 of Doon, who died at the Rock October 20 following a long illness.
Services will be conducted by the Rev Robert D Decker and burial will be made in Hillside cemetery at Doon.
Mr. Aardema was born at Sioux Center October 26, 1900. He moved to Doon in 1917. He was of the Aardema Cement Works there until his retirement.
He was married to Tracy Zijlstra April 27, 1927, at Sioux Falls.
Survivors include the widow, three sons, Harold, Donald and Stanley, all of Doon. a daughter, Mrs. Louis Sneller, of Doon, a brother, Onie of Zeeland, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Datus Sallie of Boyden and Mrs. Mike Vos of Hardwick, Minn.; and six grandchildren.
