From Sapulpa Herald Feb 1930: Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at the First Baptist church for Miss Opal Bell, who died at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Bell, Thursday night after taking a dose of strychinine, thinking it was quinine. Rev. P. J. Conkwright preached the funeral sermon and internment was made in the Sapulpa cemetery with the Buffington Funeral Home in charge. Pall bearers for the service were employees of the Unit Lock company, of which Miss Bell was an employee for sometime before her death, and were Jack Vaughn, Ernest Sutton, Monroe Hankins, Perry Wallace, Jack Cowart and Whitney Martin. Flower bearers were girl employees of the company, Miss Lelia Reynolds, Miss Cora Hayes, Miss Velma Vance, Miss Irene Tucker, Miss Mable Hayes and Miss Leola Blakely. Miss Bell is survived by her parents, four sisters, Mrs. Sybil McKinney of West Plains, Mo., Mrs. Troy Sansing of this city, Miss Ila Jean Bell of Bristow and one brother, Oliver Bell of this city.
