Henry Carl Adolf, age 86, died May 3, 2004, surrounded by his family in the North Big Horn Hospital. Hank was born June 11, 1917, in Worland, to Gottfried and Marie Bauer Adolf.
He was the ninth child of 10 children. He lived in Idaho as a small child for six or seven years. The rest of his life was spent in Lovell.
He met and married Roma Barnhurst September 7, 1940. Together they raised six daughters. He worked for the Ohio Refinery. When the refinery closed , he went to work for Husky Oil for 17 years, driving back and forth to Cody.
He loved hunting, fishing, sports, reading, riding his bike and gardening. He was known to raise a wonderful garden. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Roma; daughters, Evon (Jay) May, Nancy (Ken) Bullinger, Marilyn (Lee) Sharp, Rosiland (Tim) Harris and Aneta (Mike) Fink. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 69 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers and sisters and daughter, Jeanette.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 7, 2004, at the Lovell LDS Stake Center. Burial followed in the Lovell Cemetery.
