BLOOMINGTON — Lois Eileen Bradstreet, 69, Bloomington, died Monday (March 18, 2013) at her home.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Jim Book officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the memorial home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wegener Foundation, P.O. Box 18335, Oklahoma City, OK 73154-0335, or Caring Bridge, Donation Processing Center, P.O. Box 6032, Albert Lea, MN 56007-6632.
Lois was born March 6, 1944, at Bloomington, a daughter of Robert A. and Roma Louise Downs Newby.
She married Samuel Harvey Bradstreet on Feb. 23, 1963, at Loda. They just observed their 50th wedding anniversary.
Survivors include her husband, Sam; a daughter, Trish (John) Heimerdinger, Downs; two sons, Tim (Missy) Bradstreet, Escondido, Calif., and Bob (Amanda) Bradstreet, Washington; six grandchildren, Josh and Sarah Heimerdinger, Lydia Bradstreet, Dylan and Madisyn Leach and Fletcher Bradstreet; and a sister, Darlene (Larry) Johnson, Champaign.
Her parents and a grandson, Tyler Bradstreet, preceded her in death.
Lois was a member of First United Methodist Church, Normal, Beta Sigma Phi social sorority and the Let's Eat Euchre Club for many years.
Lois was a home decorator for 28 years, working for Home Interiors and Gifts.
She enjoyed traveling and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
