Alanson Williston Parkes, Jr was credited with contributing many developments of airborne electronic equipment. In 1928 he directed the final test of the radio receiving equipment on a plane used by Admiral Byrd on his Antarctic Expedition. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Clark University in 1922, taught Physics at Lafayette College and Harvard. He received his MS in Physics from Harvard.
