OBITUARY from the JEFFERSON CITY NEWS TRIBUNE newspaper of Tuesday, August 27, 2002--ALLEN - Benjamin H. "Ben" Allen Jr., 87, Camdenton, died Aug. 26, 2002, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach. He was born Dec. 27, 1914, in Soldier, Kan., a son of Benjamin H. Sr., and Gurtrude Palmer Allen. He was married to Iva Marie Geren Allen, who survives at the home. Other survivors include: two sons, Larry Allen, Camdenton, and Melvin Allen, Kansas City; two daughters, Polly Allen, Camdenton, and Bonnie Bond, state of Florida; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton.
