Henry Wilford Harris, Sr. was born March 19, 1915 near Paradise, Mo. He was the 6th child born to Allen Johnson Harris and Vata Louisa Carver Harris. He married his 1st wife Genevieve Atkins on March 19, 1940 and later divorced. They had two children:Carol Jean Harris Davis and Ronald Lee Harris. He married Shirley M. Carroll on May 26, 1951. They adoped one child: Henry W. Harris, Jr.
