Maynard L. "Jim" Haddix, 79 of Kimball Died Feb.27, 1994 at the Kinball County Manor.
Funeral Services were March 2 at 10:30 a.m. in the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball, with the Rev. Thomas Jacobsen officiating.
Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery at Scottsbluff.
Cantrell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
A memorial has been established to Parkinson's Disease Research.
Haddix was born Jan. 31 1915 at Mason City to Winfield and Abbie May (Fielding) Haddix. He attended school at the Haddix School near Mason City. He moved to Mitchell in 1934. Haddix joind the United States Army and served during World War II from 1940 to 1945. He married Illene Barr Nov.13,1950. The couple made their home in Banner County. Haddix farmed and ranched in Banner County until 1966, then he worked in the shop for Banner County until retirement. He moved to Kimball in 1985 and to the Kimball County Manor in August of 1993.
He was a member of the Kimball Friendship Senior Center and the Eagle's Club Aerie 3889 of Kimball.
Survivors include his sister, Gladys Knispel of Kearney; and brothers, Harlan of Kersey, Colo., and Bernard of Kimball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife on Nov.25, 1980, brother, Ernest, and an infant sister.
