NEWTON FALLS - Paul Andriko, 87, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at Allan Dell Assisted Living.
Paul was born in Powhatan, W.Va., on June 6, 1923, the son of John and Julia Yavelak Andriko. He has lived in the Newton Falls area his entire life.
Paul was employed as a steel worker for 29 years at Rockwell International retiring in 1976. Paul was also employed as a custodian for 12 years with the Lordstown School District, retiring in 1985.
Paul was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II.
Paul was a former member of Christ Our King Catholic Church and he was a member of the Newton Falls American Legion. He enjoyed bowling in several area leagues and watching sports on television.
Loving memories of Paul will be carried on by his daughter, Vicki Andriko of Columbus; his sons, Barry and Linda Andriko of Mount Sterling, Tom and Sue Andriko of Lordstown and Jamie Andriko of Columbus; his sisters, Eva Tancos of Newton Falls and Sue Jones of Cortland; his granddaughter and husband, Jennifer and Adam Owen; a grandson, Tom Andriko Jr.; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters Mary Blasko, Julia Rogos, Ann Gnandt and Helen Crocket; and brothers, John, Steve, Mike and Nick Andriko.
Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at James Funeral Home where the funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m.
Paul will be laid to rest at St. Michael's Cemetery.
