His first name is misspelled on the grave marker and in one newspaper article. His name was Esom, not Eson. He was named after his grandfather Cpl. Esom B. Bryant I. (For examples of his name spelled correctly, please see the attached 1910 and 1930 censuses.)

"Church of God, Mountain Assembly of Jellico, Tenn., 303 W. Court. Rev. E. B. Bryant, Pastor."

From "The Kokomo Tribune," Kokomo, Indiana, Tuesday, July 9, 1946:
"Revival Continues -- Revival services are being held at the Church of God at Nevada each night at 8 o'clock. The Rev. E. B. Bryant of Arizona is in charge."
