Betty L. Adams, 88, of Sistersville Center, formerly of Middlebourne departed this life Saturday, January 30, 2010 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. She was born August 10, 1921 in Tyler County a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Esta Ash Peters.

Betty was a former employee of Corning Glass. She was a member of the Middlebourne Baptist Church and Middlebourne Baptist Ladies Mission.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd W. ( Doc ) Adams. Two brothers; Bobby and William Peters. Three sisters; Ruth Sterns, Mary Hammel and Faye Poole.

Betty is survived by her son Larry M. Adams and his wife Amy of Middlebourne. A brother Charles Peters of Burgettstown, PA. A grandson Jonathan Martin. Several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne, Monday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm where services will be held Tuesday 1:00 pm with Reverend Steve Delay officiating. Interment in Middlebourne Cemetery, Middlebourne.
