Memorial service for Genevieve M. Ames, 81, was held Tuesday at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home in the Spokane Valley. She was born to Mike and Emma Fuchs in Uniontown, Wash. and was raised in Tekoa, Wash.
She was a resident of Spokane for 12 years, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping, and was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic church.
Survivors include: her husband of 59 years Ernest Ames; two sons; Richard (Rose)Ames of Spokane, Wash.; and Fred (Linda)Ames of Dunlap, TN.; four brothers; three sisters; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
