Donald Douglas "Doug" Titus died Thursday, December 5, 1996 in Carmichael, CA. He was born Jan 22, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio to Donald and Vivian (Shaver) Titus while his father was onboard the USS Mississippi in the Philippines. Doug's parents moved to Vienna, Ohio in 1947 and raised Doug and his three siblings there. Doug graduated from Vienna High School in 1962 and then attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology in 1966. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and made lifelong friends there. Doug's degree went on to serve him well as he eventually would start up his own plastic molding companies in Ohio and California where he had moved to in the mid-70s. At the time of his death Doug specialized in plastic mold design. He is survived by his mother, Vivian (Shaver) Titus Steele; and his siblings: Rick (Priscilla) Titus; Larry (Cherylene) Titus, and Barbara (Titus) Marsyla; nieces and a nephew. Doug is preceded in death by his father, Donald W. Titus; his maternal grandparents, Melvin Hurley and Myrtle (Harmon) Shaver; and his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Alice (Stonerock) Titus. Funeral service will be Friday, Dec 13, 1996 at the Schoedinger Norris Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City where the family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. Rev Finley Hargett officiating and interment in Concord Cemetery, Grove City, Ohio.
