Adele Marie Fahrmeier, beloved wife of Herman Fahrmeier, entered into rest early Wednesday morning May 9, 1951, at the age of 62 years and 19 days. She was born at Senate Grove on Easter Sunday, April 21, 1889, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Allersmeyer.
She spent her youth in that community and joined the Senate Grove Methodist Church at an early age. Upon finishing Grant Public School she entered high school at Union, later attending Missouri State Teachers College at Cape Girardeau, MO.
She taught the Rock Ridge School near Gerald and Lower Bottom School near Berger.
On September 27 1913, she was united in marriage to Herman Fahrmeier and therafter made their home on a farm near Berger. She joined the Berger Methodist Church and took an active part in the ladies' societies and other activities of the church and community.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Herman Fahrmeier; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond Helling of New Haven; three sons, Walden of St. Louis, Wilbert of Baltimore, MD and Leonard who is in the U.S.Army; six grandchildren, two brothers, Wesley and Albert Allersmeyer of New Haven; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Ellerbrake of St. Louis and Mrs. Elsie Walker of Anderson, MO. She leaves many nieces and nephews as well as many friends and neighbors. She was highly respected in the Berger Community.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ebenezer Methodist Church, Berger, MO, with Rev. Carroll Hurd and Rev. B. V. Wolff officiating. Interment was in the St. John's Evangelical Cemetery, Berger, MO.
