Thomas M. Adams, 79, of Connellsville, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at Uniontown Hospital. He was born Nov. 16, 1921, in Adelaide, Pa., a son of the late Andrew and Veronica (Hrapchak) Adams.
Thomas was a graduate of Dunbar Township High School Class of 1940 and a veteran of World War II. Prior to his retirement in 1986, he worked as an electrician for the Local I.B.E.W. #5 for 32 years. He was a member of St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church, the Independent Slovak Citizens Club, the Polish Club, the Trotter American Legion, the V.F.W. Post 21 and the Morrell Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Adams and his wife, Christine, of Murrysville and Robert Adams of Maui, Hawaii; two daughters, Vanessa Wilson and her husband, Rod, of Smithfield and Karen Henderson of Connellsville; six grandchildren, Kim (Adams) Wong and her husband, Eric, of Pittsburgh, Aaron and Adam Wilson of Smithfield, Ryan Adams of Murrysville, Ashley and Amanda Henderson, both of Connellsville; also many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Doreen A. (Cammell) Adams (2000); a brother, Edward Adams; four sisters, Mary Ulery, Ann Geisler, Veronica Grimm and Margaret Sokola; also an infant son, Thomas Allen Adams; and an infant brother, Andrew Adams.
Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 N. Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, where a panachida service will be held Wednesday at 9:15 a.m., followed by a divine liturgy at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Joseph Kapusnak officiating. Interment will follow in St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Leisenring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church, Leisenring.
