Monica June Adams, 79, of Connellsville, Pa., died Sunday, March 13, 2005, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. She was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Dunbar, Pa., a daughter of the late Robert and Elsie (Penn) Adams.
She was a graduate of Dunbar Township High School. Prior to her retirement in 1988, she was employed by Anchor Hocking Glass Plant as a carton maker. She was a member of the G.B.B.A., and the Dames of Malta. She was Protestant by faith.
She is survived by her sister, Velma Carson of Connellsville; her brother, Harry Adams and wife, Goldie of Alabama; three nephews, Robert "Zip" Carson and wife, Toni of Connellsville, Scott Carson and companion, Marsha Skalecki of Dunbar Township, and Brian Carson of Connellsville; two nieces, Janet Coffman and husband, Dave of Uniontown, and Jane Ann Ravenscraft and husband, Tom of McClellandtown; great-nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Brad and Brandon Carson, Andrew Shanberger, Eric Coffman and Janie, Tommy and Jimmy Ravenscraft; and two great great-nieces, Lauren Coffman and Delaney Ravenscraft.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Adams; a sister, Virginia (Adams) Kollar; and three nieces, Virginia and Judith Ann Kollar and Judith Carson.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 North Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Chris Lipscomb officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Dunbar.
