Roger F. Buckler, 86, of Liverpool, passed away on Thursday. Born in Cortland, he graduated from R.I.T. in 1948 after serving in the Southwest Pacific Army Air Force during WWII. He was a production control manager with Xerox, and he worked in the shipping and handling department at Gleason Works for eight years. Roger was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church and a member and past commander of American Legion Post 1330 in Rush, NY, deputy chief of Henrietta Fire Co. #1 and a lifetime member and charter member and elder of Pinnacle Lutheran Church. He was predeceased by a son, Duane R. Buckler, in 1968. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Genevieve; daughter, Luana (David) Reeves of Cicero, NY; son, Paul (Diane) Buckler of Warminster, PA; four grandchildren, Keith, Jeffery, Justin and Caitlin; and a great-grandchild on the way. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 Route 31, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Rush, NY. Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Crouse Health Foundation, 736 Irving Ave., Syracuse, or to Pinnacle Lutheran Church, Pinnacle Rd. at Stone Rd., Henrietta, NY 14623.
