GERMANTOWN -- Mrs. Esther M. Baker, 86, of Germantown, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Friendly Nursing Home in Germantown. Esther was a member of the First Church of God in Germantown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. Baker in 1997. She is survived by four sons, Gary, and wife, Jan, of Franklin, Larry of Germantown, Sam, and wife, Mary, of Germantown, and Lenny, and wife, Joan, of Camden; three daughters, Lauretta, and husband, Jerry Swartzel of New Lebanon, Janice, and husband, Allen Tuck, of Bradenton, Fla., and Kathy, and husband, Elmer Barger, of Germantown; two brothers, Marvin, and wife, Margie Leis, of Middletown, and Walter Leis of Florida; three sisters, Peggy, Betty and Virginia; and 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 11, at Germantown Cemetery. Pastors Tim Woodward and Randall Spence will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Arpp & Root Funeral Home in Germantown.
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Germantown Rescue Squad.
