Going Home services for Reverend Doyle L. Aaron will be held at 11 am, Monday, October 1, 2012, at the Pentecostals of Alexandria with the Reverend Clifford Pereira and Reverend Terry Shock officiating. The United States Naval Honor Guard will conduct military rites. Burial will follow at Alexandria Memorial Gardens of Woodworth under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Doyle L. Aaron was born on February 3, 1927 to Joe Lee Aaron and Ada Boles Aaron in Farmerville.
He served during WWII for the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater. After the war, he settled in Monroe where he was employed as an office equipment technician. While there, he met and married the love of his life.
Later Bro. Aaron attended Bible College in San Antonio, Texas. Soon after his college experience, he became a United Pentecostal minister. He worked many years, evangelized and pastored in churches in Louisiana and Texas. He also worked as a pioneer pastor while establishing and building a church in New Iberia.
Bro. Aaron gave many years of labor to various churches and the United Pentecostal Church campground in Tioga, doing electrical, air-conditioning installation, and maintenance. He loved to go camping, fishing, and hunting with friends and family. He devoted his life to helping anyone in need and was a true advocate for many throughout his lifetime.
Predeceasing Bro. Aaron was his parents; three brothers, J. L. Aaron, Marvin Aaron, and Aubrey Aaron; one sister, Rita Aaron Farmer; and one granddaughter, Megan Elliott.
Left to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 62 years, Sybil Howard Aaron of Forest Hill; two sons, Scott H. Aaron and Barry W. Aaron, wife Tina of Glenmora; two daughters, Judy Aaron Pereira, husband Reverend Clifford of Pearland, Texas and Jan Aaron Elliott of McNary; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three brothers, Andy Aaron, wife Christine of Dubach, Jack Aaron and Billy Aaron of West Monroe; one sister, MaeBelle Aaron Hodge of West Monroe; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Brent Aaron, Jason Brookshier, Travis Aaron, Todd Aaron, Cody Cloud, and Casey Stanley. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Barry Aaron, Chad Aaron, Tyler Cloud, and Jonathan Pereira.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 30, 2012, at the United Pentecostal Church in Glenmora from 4 pm until 10 pm and at the Pentecostals of Alexandria on Monday, October 1, 2012 from 8 am until service time at the church.
