Elva Atkinson Rites Tuesday
Services for Miss Elva Atkinson, 76, 1503 School street, who died at 11:55 a.m. yesterday in St. Anthony hospital where she had been a medical patient for eight days will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Dr. Franklin M. Zentz, pastor of Court Street Methodist church will officiate and rites will be conducted by members of the Rebekah lodge. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
Miss Atkinson was born Nov. 13, 1872 in Burrit, the daughter of former Sheriff John M. Atkinson and Minnie Douglas Atkinson. She was a member of Court Street Methodist church, Sons of Union Veterans auxiliary, No. 20, Royal Neighbors and Anchor Rebekah Lodge, No. 84.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Katherine Franklin, 1229 Grant ave; two brothers, Wallace Atkinson, 609 Kilburn avenue, and Mel C. Atkinson, 511 Cherry street, and three nieces and a nephew.
