Billie Lou Albertson was born June 26, 1929 in Kirkville, Iowa, the daughter of Harry Loid and Louise Ruth Baker Lynch. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1947 and attended summer school at William Penn College, Oskaloosa, Iowa. She taught briefly in a country school before becoming a bookkeeper at the Farmers Savings Bank in Fremont. She later woked as a bank teller at the Oskaloosa Home Loan & Savings Bank before retiring to farm life. Billie was united in marriage to J. Clair Albertson February 26, 1950 in Fremont. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fremont, taught Sunday School since 1952, along with adult classes in more recent years. Billie also served as clerk, treasurer, and deaconess in her church. She is survived by her husband, Clair, two sons, Neil (Lisa), and Kerry (Rae Lynne) Albertson, both of Fremont,five grandchildren; Christopher (Becky), Dustin, Travis (Dixie), Casey, & Amy Albertson, two step-grandchidlren, Ryan (Heather) & Rick (Jessica) Thompson, and two step-great grandchildren; Chase and Carter Thompson. Billie was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Frank Storm.
