Topeka State Journal Monday 3 Jan., 1972, pg. 16:

Mrs. Jessie Beck Adams, 124 Greenwood, widow of Charles Pelham Adams, founder of Adams Business Forms, died early today in a local convalescent center after a long illness.
She was born Oct. 17, 1873 in Greencastle, Ind. She came to Topeka in 1888 and taught at Parkdale Elementary School.
She was married to Charles Pelham Adams on Dec. 28, 1898. He died in April, 1938.
Mrs. Adams had been a member of First United Methodist Church for more than 75 years and had been superintendent of the church kindergarten department more than 45 years. She had been elected a lifetime honorary steward of the church.
She was a member f the Women's Auxiliary of Stormont-Vail Hospital and Topeka Country Club.
Survivors include 2 sons, John P. Adams, and Edward C. Adams, both of Topeka; a daughter, Mrs. Cornelia A. Donaldson, Pittsburgh, 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at Klasse Memorial Chapel of First United Methodist Church with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
