ADRIAN — Services for G.B. Avery, 72, of Route 1, Adrian, will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton. Burial will be in Orianna Baptist Church Cemetery in Treutlen County A native of Laurens County, Mr Avery was a retired employee of J P Stevens Co Inc, a retired farmer, and a member of Orianna Baptist Church. He died Sunday night in an Atlanta hospital after a long illness. Memorial contributions may be made to Orianna Baptist Church. The family will receive friends tonight at the funeral home.
