JANUARY 07 1920 - DECEMBER 11, 2010 She passed away at the age of 90. Alice was born to John and Mary Peschel in Caspian, Michigan. She was the youngest and last of the Peschel family. As a young girl Alice moved to Chicago to stay with her oldest sister. It was there she was introduced by a mutual friend to her future husband John Ball. After several years of marriage they decided it was time to move west. They moved to San Fernando Valley in the 1950's where they bought a home to raise a family. Alice and John went on many boat cruises and trips in their time together and were always looking forward to planning the next trip. She loved gardening, entertaining and her dogs. Alice's friends looked forward to her visits. With a keen sense of humor and sharp wit, she was always quick with a joke or story to brighten their day. Late in her life she still managed to bring a smile to her new friends from Roze Room Hospice of the Valley who cared for her and did their best to make her life comfortable in her final years. Alice follows her beloved husband John Ball and 12 siblings before her. She leaves behind her only son Robert and his wife Sherry; two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and her niece Janet Stanchina. She will be missed by all who knew her and where touched by her. The family is honoring her wish of her ash's be scattered at sea and no service. Published in Los Angeles Daily News on January 16, 2011
