Donna L. Arnett, age 71, of Madison, died on Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg.
She was born in Richland County on Dec. 16, 1937, the daughter of Edgar and Eva Lou (Perkins) Unbehaun. Donna enjoyed her employment with several departments with the State of Wisconsin, including Health and Human Services and the Department of Corrections, from which she retired. Her hobbies included reading, ceramics, vegetable and flower gardening, bowling and oil painting. Following her retirement, Donna spent winters with family in Zephyrhills, Florida.
Survivors include her children, Randy (Jeanine) Arnett of Madison, Raynard (Joan) Arnett of Sun Prairie, Rodney (Karen) Arnett of Prairie du Sac, and Renee' (James) Asselin of Papillion, Neb.; grandchildren, Nicole (Brad) Champeny of Pell Lake, Chad Arnett of Lake Geneva, Michael Arnett of Lake Geneva, Brandon Arnett of De Forest, Rochelle Arnett of Prairie du Sac, and Cassandra Asselin of Papillion, Neb.; two step-grandchildren, Terry Crary and Danielle Stima; four great-grandchildren; her brother and sister, Eileen (Ken) Klousia and Dean (Betty) Unbehaun, both of Richland Center; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Brian; and grandson, Bryan.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 120 North Park Street, Richland Center. Pastor Sonja Heiser will officiate and burial will be in the Richland Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., or on Thursday from noon until the time of service at 1p.m. The Pratt Funeral Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
