Alice Lucy Bellevue was born in Lowell, Middlesex, Massachusetts in 1888.

On Sept. 28, 1906, Howard Grover Jameson and Alice Lucy Bellevue filed an intention to be married. They were married on October 1, 1906 in Windham NH by Albert Watson, Clergyman.

Their marriage record shows that Alice was born in Lowell, MA, which was her home when she married at age 18. She was a housekeeper.

Her father was Victor Bellevue, a carpenter born in Canada and living in Lowell, Mass. Her mother's name was not recorded on Alice's marriage record. She probably died before her daughter was married.

Howard Grover Jameson, son of John Jameson and Levina "Vinie" Reynolds (Bettam) Jameson, was a 21-year-old farmer when he married Alice. He was born in Atkinson, and lived in Windham at the time of their marriage. Like his son, Howard's father was also born in Atkinson, and was a farmer in Windham. He was 48-years-old when his son married. Howard's mother, Lavina Bettam, was born in England. She was 46 at the time of her son's marriage.

Howard and Alice's first child, Carl H., was born on 26 August 1907, and died on 16 August 1910, a few days before his third birthday. Carl was buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem NH.

On the 1910 Census, Howard Jameson appears with his wife and sons Carl H. and Harold L. Jameson. For some reason, his wife's name was recorded as "Velvien" on that document.

However, the 1906 marriage record establishes the marriage of Howard and Alice, and, in 1919, Howard registered for the WWI draft, and named his wife, Alice, thus proving that "Velvien" is indeed Alice.

On the 1920 Census, Howard appears with his wife, Alice, and children Harold H. and Florence L. Jameson.

In 1930, Howard appears on the census with Alice and children: Harold S., Florence M., Evelyn M., and Gladys D. Jameson, plus John Jameson, father, and Bernice R. Jameson, niece.

At some time after Howard's death in 1936, Alice married ________ Fontaine.

Alice Lucy (Bellevue) Jameson Fontaine died in 1967, and was buried with her first husband, Harold Jameson, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Rockingham, Salem NH.
