WASHINGTON TERRACE - Sarah Elizabeth Ragan Mikesell passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 7, 2007.
Elizabeth was born May 6, 1927 in Ogden, Utah, to Harry S. and Sarah Elizabeth McArthur Ragan. She attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ogden High School in May of 1945.
She married the love of her life, Walter J. Mikesell, on June 1, 1945, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died February 20, 1980.
Elizabeth "Beth" was a grocery checker for over 45 years and retired from Stimsons Market after 28 years of faithful service.
She was a faithful member of the Washington Terrace 4th LDS Ward serving as Relief Society President and Junior Sunday School Coordinator.
Our Mother excelled at being a Mother and a Grandma. We were blessed to have had her as our "Mom".
She is survived by three daughters, Sandra (Don) Forsgren, Clinton; Paula (Jim) Henrie, West Warren; Susan (Sterling) Allred, Washington Terrace; and six grandchildren, Kelly and Susan Forsgren, Parker, CO; Kevin and Julie Forsgren, Parker, CO; Tami and Stuart Ford, Clinton; Lori and Curtis Player, Clinton; Jamie and Mark Pingree, West Haven; and Dusty and Jannette Henrie, Marriott/Slaterville. She also has 30 great-grandchildren and one on the way that she is going to get ready to send to us.
She is also survived by a very special cousin, Ruth (John) Knight and dear friend Bertha Dexter.
Beth was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, Selena Call and Dorothy Wickstrom and one brother, Reid Burrell. The reunion in heaven must have been very sweet. We love you and will miss you Mom.
